After graduating from Thomas Jefferson School of Law, Professor Inman began working in the TJSL Library, holding several positions including Serials Librarian, Technical Services & Acquisitions Librarian, Interim Director and Director of the Library. She also worked as a Legal Reference Librarian at San Diego Law Library for four years. She is a member of AALL and SANDALL, serving on the board of SANDALL as treasurer for two terms. Professor Inman joined the TJSL faculty in 2013.
