Mr. Arizmendi first taught Spanish for Legal Professionals at TJSL in 2006 and has taught it for several semesters on and off.
While acting in the capacity of the president of the California Court Interpreters Association, Mr. Arizmendi co-authored the book Interpreter Training Manual in 1987.
Mr. Arizmendi has been the president of the San Diego La Raza Lawyers Association (1995); the president of the California La Raza Lawyers Association (1998 and 2003); the president of the TJSL Alumni Association (2006) and General Counsel for the San Diego County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (2013 through 2015). From 1996 to the present and moving forward, Mr. Arizmendi has served as Adjunct Faculty for the paralegal program at Southwestern College.
Since 1990, Mr. Arizmendi has practiced law in San Diego carrying a general civil practice which includes Business transactions and litigation, Estate Planning & Probate and Bankruptcy Law.
While Mr. Arizmendi was serving as president of the California La Raza Lawyers Association, the CLRLA was instrumental in bringing about appointments of Latino & Latina judicial officers throughout the state.
