After serving as in-house counsel at the Whitaker Corporation in Los Angeles, Professor Golden began teaching at TJSL in 1976 as a member of the adjunct faculty and has taught every semester since. Over the next seven years, while alternating between adjunct and resident faculty status, he also practiced law with Fredman, Silverberg & Lewis, a San Diego law firm, for four years and then in his own civil litigation practice. He has been a member of the full-time faculty continuously since 1983.
In addition to serving as assistant dean for several years, Professor Golden was the law school’s director of foreign study programs and led legal study groups to Beijing, China, and Cambridge, England. He has taught Comparative Antitrust Law in the school’s summer foreign study program in Nice, France, and has provided instruction on the American Legal System to numerous groups of visiting Brazilian lawyers in a legal education exchange program operated by the school between semesters from 2011 to 2013. He is the Director of Residential Graduate Law Degree Programs in American Legal Studies and International Trade and teaches the introductory course for foreign students in those programs.
