Two of TJSL’s finest took first and second place awards at the 2011 East Village Photo Contest at a ceremony held at Basic Urban Kitchen & Bar on Wednesday, September 14.
TJSL Art Director, Sherwin Laranga won first place and took home $500 for his entry, which he calls “East Village at Night”.
TJSL student Travis Davis was excited to win second place and a $100 cash prize.
The 2011 East Village Photo Contest was conducted by the East Village Association and required participants to submit photos inspired by the neighborhood’s landscapes and energy.
Laranga’s photo not only captured the energy of East Village, he also captured the beauty of the TJSL’s new campus.
