“My experience in law school is really the foundation/cornerstone of
my firm and my career.  I had a great learning experience in law school which
prepared me for the war ahead – the practice of law/trials.” Keith Bremer ‘91

In the September 27, 2011 issues of the Los Angeles Daily Journal and the San Francisco Daily Journal, TJSL alumnus Keith G. Bremer ‘91 is listed among the “Top 100 Lawyers in California.”

“I was surprised and very humbled by the opportunity to showcase both my successes and that of the firm,” said Bremer.  “I am super impressed by some of the other names that are on that list.”

The “Top 100” special supplement showcases all types of practitioners--from divorce attorneys to public finance lawyers to criminal defenders--and provides an overview of their accomplishments. The editors selected what they considered to be the best from hundreds of nominations from the legal community and the Daily Journal’s own editors and reporters. Bremer’s profile and photograph appear on page 8 of the “Top 100” issue.

Bremer is a founding principal attorney of Bremer, Whyte, Brown & O'Meara LLP, a law firm with 80+ attorneys and offices in Newport Beach, Los Angeles, San Diego, Riverside, Northern California, Las Vegas and Phoenix.  The firm’s attorneys have extensive experience in a variety of areas, including corporate law, contract negotiation and drafting, sports and entertainment litigation, copyright and trademark infringement, family law, employment law, and general business and personal litigation services.  The firm’s broad base of sports and entertainment clients have included "Stone Cold" Steve Austin,  the Black Eyed Peas, Staples Center, the Del Mar Fairgrounds, Cinemark, The Grove and Playboy International.

A number of TJSL graduates also hold positions at Bremer, Whyte, Brown & O’Meara.  They include: Raymond Meyer Jr. ‘94, Partner; Vikas Nagpal ‘99, Partner; John Henri Toohey ‘99, Partner; John Clark Gottlieb ‘00, Associate; Alexander Michael Giannetto ‘08, Senior Associate; Henry Hyunku Kang ‘10, Associate; and Orchid Barzin ‘10, Associate.

“I always tell law students to work hard now and it will pay off later,” explained Bremer.  “Look for an area that you truly love and want to be a part of. Try to work clerking into the experience so that you can not only learn the fundamentals of law but the practicality of the practice.”

At TJSL (then WSU San Diego), Bremer was a member of law review and served as business editor, book review editor and, in his last year, managing editor for law review.

Bremer is recognized by the legal community as an aggressive and effective litigator and negotiator, and is a member of the Foundation of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).  He has worked in all aspects of civil litigation, including general business and corporate, construction defect, municipal defense, personal injury and general liability.  He has been a featured contributor in the “Business Section” of the Orange County Register, and has provided legal commentary for the Los Angeles Times, Los Angeles Daily Journal, ABC, CBS, CNN, Fox, NBC, KCAL and KTLA news. He is regularly consulted by lobbyists and the insurance industry to provide input on proposed legislation in jurisdictions from California to Colorado.  He obtained a verdict for $3.25 million in the Orange County Superior Court and received the Gladiator Trial Award from Farmers Insurance. He was also recently awarded the coveted Medallion award by Farmers for his outstanding work. He is a regularly featured speaker at seminars throughout the United States.  He also has been recognized as a “Southern California Super Lawyer” the past three years in a row.
