Give Something Back’s tagline is “Good Deals, Good Deeds.”

The office supply company donates 75 percent of its revenues to non-profit organizations, and this year Give Something Back (GSB) has made a $2,000 donation to Thomas Jefferson School of Law’s Veterans Legal Assistance Clinic (VLAC.)

The check was presented to the clinic’s director Professor Steve Berenson on April 17, by GSB’s director of sales Shirley Meredith and San Diego’s regional sales director Ed Ecker. It’s the second year in a row the organization has supported the Veterans Clinic.

“I think it is fantastic that a business is so committed to helping non-profit and other service organizations do good works in the community, “ said Professor Berenson. “ And we are particularly appreciative of GSB’s support of the work of our Veterans Legal Assistance Clinic.

Several of the TJSL students who serve at the clinic were present for the check presentation ceremony; Tyler Rossworn, Aaron Gorman, Matthew Katsionis and Jeff Whiting.

Since 2006, the Thomas Jefferson Veterans Legal Assistance Clinic has provided legal assistance, as well as full service legal representation, to the residents and alumni of Veterans Village of San Diego. TJSL students provide the services to the veterans, under the supervision of clinic Professor Berenson, and Clinic Fellow, Tiffany Gilmartin.
