Two TJSL students were honored at the FALSD/PALSD 35th Annual Dinner and Installation of Officers on January 24 at the Doubletree Hotel Mission Valley.
Aarti Kumar 3L and Esther Hyun 3L received scholarships from the organizations, the Filipino American Lawyers of San Diego (FALSD) and the Pan Asian Lawyers of San Diego (PALSD.)
“It is such an honor and blessing to be recognized as one of the scholarship recipients,” said Kumar. “I would like to thank Professor Maurice Dyson, Professor Rebecca Lee, and Mr. Peter Quon ’77 for their tremendous support and guidance. I am also very grateful to PALSD and FALSD for their generosity and commitment to support aspiring attorneys.”
“I am very honored and grateful to be the recipient of the 2013 PALSD scholarship," said Hyun. “This generous scholarship will assist me with the costs of taking the California bar exam, which allows me to focus my attention on more important matters, such as preparing and passing the exam in July. I would also like to express my gratitude to my family, Professor Luz Herrera, and Mr. Nam Kim for their guidance and support.”
The keynote speaker was the Honorable Mona Pasquil, the Secretary of Appointments from the California State Governor’s Office.
Congratulations to Aarti and Esther from, everyone in the TJSL family!
