“I’m excited!  It’s finally here!,” said Thomas Anderson as he donned his cap and gown and posed for his graduation picture during TJSL’s two-day grad fair February 21-22.

“It feels pretty good. I can’t wait,” said Ronald Lin.

Many TJSL grads-to-be have the same experience when they first try on the cap and gown – it’s really happening!  I made it!  I’m graduating!

“It’s pretty cool!,” said Bardia Pourfallah.  “It took me four years as a part-time student – I worked full-time at a biotech firm through law school.” Naturally, Pourfallah plans to practice Intellectual Property Law.

In addition to graduation photos, the grad fair provides the students who will graduate in May with a lot of other valuable support services. Career Services is there to interact with the students and they also have a chance to live-scan their fingerprints to begin the state bar’s background check.   You can even choose the frame you want for your hard-earned diploma.  Not to mention the snacks, gifts and other goodies for the grads.

Katie Hanes says she is excited and nervous about the upcoming graduation, but she’s also excited about what she calls a “post-bar job offer at the Family Law Office of Robert Garland,” who is a 1992 TJSL graduate.

“Tee” Thanh Ho and Jennifer Dinh happily posed together for a graduation photo. “We’ve been friends since we were 1Ls,” said Tee.  “This is surreal,” said Jennifer.

Perhaps no one was feeling more emotion than Noél Heard, who is about to fulfill her dream.

“I feel like this is becoming real,” said Heard. “I am thankful and happy that I came to TJSL and grateful for the support of my entire family rooting for me with their energy, prayers and finances to achieve my goals.”

The Spring commencement ceremonies will be held Saturday, May 18, 10 a.m., at Copley Symphony Hall in downtown San Diego, the scene of so many joyous TJSL graduations.

This is sure to be another one!
