Four TJSL Professors and nine alumni have been selected as finalists for the 2013 Top Attorneys Recognition by the San Diego Daily Transcript. All finalists are described as "San Diego’s legal cream of the crop" by the Transcript’s editors.
Professor Julie Greenberg, Professor Marybeth Herald, Professor Lilys McCoy and Professor Steve Semeraro were named in the Top Attorneys in the Academic category of this annual honor, where attorneys are nominated by and voted upon by their peers.
“I am very proud to have been selected as a Top Attorney,” said Professor Steve Semeraro. “I have admired those named in the academic category in prior years and I am both surprised and delighted to be able to count myself among a very select group.”
“I'm honored to be included with fellow TJSL faculty whom I greatly admire,” said Professor McCoy, an adjunct professor who heads TJSL’s Center for Solo Practitioners. “The entire TJSL community--students, staff, faculty and alumni--are a remarkable group. Their passion for the law and for equal access to justice through TJSL's dynamic programs inspires me to do better every day I am there. “
“I am delighted to be selected for this honor,” said Professor Herald, while Professor Greenberg remarked. “I am so pleased to have been selected along with my colleagues at Thomas Jefferson, who are such accomplished teachers and scholars. Professors Greenberg and Herald have been named as a Top Attorneys in the Academics category multiple times. “
