Elisabeth Donovan, a 3L who will be graduating in May 2012, dreams of writing for The New York Times and hopes to one day have a career as a legal analyst. Elisabeth currently works at the TJSL Communications Department as a writer and editor and will also be writing for San Diego Lawyer Magazine this semester, along with interning at the San Diego County Department of Child Support Services. An animal rights activist, Elisabeth is also the Vice President of the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund.

 

Elisabeth earned a B.A. in Communications from California State University, Fullerton, where she wrote for the student newspaper, The Daily Titan. She spent a total of 2 ½ years as both a writer and editor at her college newspapers and 1 ½ years writing for her college magazine. A fierce supporter of the 1st Amendment, Elisabeth often wrote controversial and risqué articles, and decided to pursue a law degree after her work was censored by an administrator at her college.
