Thomas Jefferson School of Law has five centers of academic excellence: the Center for Global Legal Studies, the Center for Law and Intellectual Property, the Center for Criminal Law and Policy, the Center for Law and Social Justice and the Center for Sports Law and Policy. The centers were created to take advantage of Thomas Jefferson's existing academic strengths. Each center addresses profound changes in our society that are giving rise to new fields of law, while rapidly transforming virtually all traditional areas of law practice.
The centers combine a substantial body of faculty research, a large collection of courses and speaker programs and colloquia.
